- 1.5 hour experience (20 minute session in the mud baths)
- Learn about the unique healing muds of Hells Gate and experience this for yourself
- Relax and rejuvenate in hot sulphur spas
- Cool off in the complimentary plunge pool
- From 1 October to 30 April, open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- From 1 May to 30 September, open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Please allow approximately 1.5 hours for the whole experience
- Mud bath sessions take approx 20mins, followed by a Sulphur Spa for as long as you like!
- Hells Gate is located at 351 State Highway 30 Tikitere Rotorua New Zealand approx 15 min from Rotorua city

- Please bring old swimwear, as swimwear and towels will often smell of sulphur after this experience
- Changing facilities are equipped with showers and body wash
- Your belongings can be kept in a portable container stored in a specially designed hut for the duration of the experience
- The minimum age for children in the mud baths is 2.5 years of age (6 months for sulphur spas)
- Health professionals recommend no more than 20 minutes per day bathing in mud for health and safety reasons
- Pool temperatures range from 37-41 degrees Celsius depending on the season
- Complimentary shuttle pick-up and drop-off, available from within the Rotorua central area. Please advise your preferred pick-up option at the time of booking.
- Pick-up Rotorua 9:50am, Depart Hell’s Gate 1:30pm
- Pick-up Rotorua 1:50pm, Depart Hell’s Gate 5:30pm
- Please note that when you book a shuttle pick-up, you are automatically booked on the corresponding return service.
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking

Staff is kind and helpful, there's even a guy that takes your photos with your own mobile. The mud baths are such a different experience and the spa pools afterwards give the final touch. No kidding it really gets you soft and smooth skin. I really enjoyed this, go for it you too!
