Absolutely incredible experience. A must see in Rotorua!
Wow! This experience was worth every dollar spent! The walk around the park was just beautiful and so out of this world! I think it would be like walking on the moon! On one side all green grass and tall trees and waterfalls! The other side rocks and mud and the ground is bubbling and boiling all around you! The carving experience was fantastic - we learnt a lot. The mud bath was amazing so relaxing and made your skin super soft. The pools at the end just finished the experience off perfectly! A must for everyone!
A great way to see the geothermal and have some relaxation time
The experience was a great time from start to finish. All staff along our journey were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! The thermals themselves were magnificent and a wonder to see, even on a rainy day. If anything, the rain made it better. After the full walk which took just under an hour, we went to the bath side where lockers were provided and there were a number of baths to pick from.

- 1.5 hour guided tour or 1 hour self guided walk of the geothermal park
- Learn about the unique healing muds of Hells Gate and experience this for yourself
- The natural geothermal mud can be smoothed over the skin while relaxing in the warm sulphurous waters for 20 minutes

We spent the day at the Hells Gate Geothermal Park
We spent the day at the Hells Gate Geothermal Park. The day was perfect, the booking was seamless and the staff on arrival were friendly and very helpful. The tour was great too you could also do on your own. Very relaxing and you have to choice of mud bath or a pool. Showers are there aswell to use. Thoroughly recommend this place!!
