What you can expect
Embark on a full-day guided tour from Auckland with return transfers, taking you to three of the North Island’s most spectacular natural wonders. Travel through the lush Waikato to Wai-O-Tapu, where colourful hot pools, bubbling mud, steaming fumaroles and volcanic craters create an otherworldly landscape. Watch the famous Lady Knox Geyser erupt, sending a column of steaming water up to 20 metres into the air, then explore the geothermal park at your own pace before stopping for lunch in Rotorua.
Next, wander beneath the towering Californian redwoods of the Redwood Forest, some more than 100 years old and up to 75 metres high. For a different view, add the optional treetop walk and experience the forest from above (entry at your own cost). Your final stop is Te Waihou (Blue Springs), where incredibly clear blue water flows through lush native bush and rolling farmland.
