Begin your journey at Grange Cottage, the original family home of Dr Penfold, before exploring the historic working winery, including 60-year-old Shiraz vines, underground tunnels and atmospheric cellars. Continue into your private cellar, beautifully prepared for an intimate tutored tasting led by a Penfolds Wine Educator.
Sample six Penfolds Super Premium wines, including some of the brand’s most iconic creations, while uncovering the stories and craftsmanship behind each bottle. As part of this special experience, enjoy VIP access to the Back Vintage room and the exclusive ‘Hidden Grange’ location. - This experience is two hours in duration.
- This experience takes place at Penfolds Magill Estate Winery at 78 Penfolds Rd, Magill, SA 5072.
- Clothing suitable to weather conditions on the day
- Comfortable walking shoes
- A valid photo ID
- Bookings are essential
- Participants must be 18 years and over to participate in the wine tasting; photo ID may be required
- Minimum of two and maximum of 12 participants
- Minimum age is five years old
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience

Quite an experience
Our tour includes a behind-the-scene peek into the cellars and the very original Grange Cottage with lots of unknown stories and fun fact. It's very informative and enjoyable. Our guide Rebecca from Taiwan is very sweet and considerate. Very patient with our 'stupid' questions too. The tour ends with a fine dining lunch at the restaurant which has wine pairing. Quite a fun time!

Penfolds Maghill Estate – It’s a Must Do!
We came on a tour and the tour was exceptional, the staff at Penfolds did everything to ensure our visit was amazing and memorable. We ordered the additional Grange and Bin 707, and the Grange was as good as you’d expect. However, we did try the Maghill Estate 2023 Shiraz and that blew our mind! So much so, we bought a bottle and it was amazing! It was an intimate wine tasting with just of us and it was rather, tranquil. If you like Australian red wine, you have to do a pilgrimage to Penfolds, you will not regret it.

Taste the Grange
Fabulous activity exploring the history of Penfold estate and tasting some of their iconic wines. We tasted a 2018 Grange and several other wines, Anna our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. It was a great activity for my friends birthday.
