We did the 4.40pm story bridge climb. Perfect time of the afternoon to do it. The sun starts to set while you're up there and you can see all the city lights.
We did the 4.40pm story bridge climb. Perfect time of the afternoon to do it. The sun starts to set while you're up there and you can see all the city lights. It was a Great experience with a great tour guide. You learn a about the history of how's the bridge was made and the effect some of the surrounding areas had on the construction of the bridge. Very interesting. Wasn't too strenuous at all. Would recommend 👍

- Departure times vary throughout the year to align with seasonal sunset times, generally departing between 3:30pm and 5:30pm. Your exact departure time will be confirmed when you book.

- Your Story Bridge Adventure Climb begins at our purpose-built Adventure Climb Headquarters, located at the vibrant Howard Smith Wharves precinct beneath Brisbane's iconic Story Bridge.

- Conveniently located between Crystalbrook Vincent Hotel and Betty's Burgers, our headquarters is just minutes from Brisbane's CBD and is easily accessible by car, CityCat, train, bus or on foot along the scenic Brisbane Riverwalk.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled climb to complete check-in, your mandatory safety briefing, equipment fitting and breath test (18+). Before your adventure begins, you'll be fitted with your climb suit, safety harness and complimentary Story Bridge Adventure Climb cap to keep.
- From our modern headquarters, you'll travel via our air-conditioned lift to the bridge access point before embarking on one of Brisbane's most iconic and unforgettable bucket-list experiences. From the moment you arrive, our friendly team will ensure your adventure is safe, seamless and memorable.
- To ensure you have a safe and enjoyable climb, please follow these guidelines:
- Dress comfortably in clothing suitable for the weather on the day. You'll be provided with a purpose-designed climb suit to wear over your clothing.
- Enclosed shoes with rubber soles are mandatory for safety. Shoes with leather soles, PVC soles, high heels, sandals, thongs or open-toe footwear are not permitted. We recommend applying sunscreen before your climb and bringing sunglasses for daytime and twilight departures.
- For safety reasons, loose personal items are not permitted on the bridge. Please store items such as keys, wallets, mobile phones, cameras, bags and other loose belongings in the complimentary secure lockers provided before your climb.
- Our team will provide everything else you need, including your climb suit, safety harness, Story Bridge Adventure Climb cap and weather jacket (if required), so you can relax and enjoy one of Brisbane's most iconic adventures.
- All climbers must be at least 10 years of age with a minimum height of 130cm
- Children aged 10-16 years can have a maximum of 3 children per adult
- Concession is for students with ID and seniors over 60
- Every climber will be breathalysed and must register under 0.05
- Maximum weight is 130kgs
- Climbs operate in most weather conditions - we do climb in the rain
- As climbers will not be permitted to take cameras (including video cameras) onto the climb, there are 3 photo opportunities that your climb leader will take photos from. Photos will be available to purchase from the photo shop after your climb experience No, Meta smart glasses or any eyewear with recording, filming, or audio capture features are not permitted on the Story Bridge Adventure Climb.
- Minimum age is 6 years
- Minimum height is 110cm
- Maximum weight is 130kg
- Not suitable for anyone with medical conditions including: neck, back, heart disorders, high/low blood pressure, recent surgery/illness/ injury, or other relevant medical conditions
- Children aged 6-16 must travel with an adult, and the ratio can be up to three children per one adult
- Climbers will also be required to pass an alcohol breath test before departure
- For the entire duration of the climb, all climbers are attached to a static line with experienced Climb Leaders ready to support and encourage those who are a little anxious whilst climbing
- Expectant mothers can climb up to 20 weeks
- Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and are only valid for the booked climb
- Gift Certificates are non-refundable
- No refund will be provided in case of booking cancellation or no-show Requests to change a booking (subject to SBAC management approval) may only be made to the time or date of a climb but not to the number or identity of climbers. Administration fees apply as follows:
- Requests to change a booking up to 14 days before the climb date will incur a $50 fee per booking
- Requests to change a booking within 13 days to 72 hours will incur a $25 rescheduling fee per booked climber
- Requests to change a booking within 72 hours cannot be accommodated
- In the case of purchases bought through a reseller, that reseller will be responsible for any rescheduling administration, in accordance with SBAC’s rescheduling policies
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience
- Mobile Vouchers are accepted! - Vouchers can also be presented on your mobile device for this attraction

That was an awesome experience climbing the Story Bridge
That was an awesome experience climbing the Story Bridge, we have seen the beautiful sunset over Brisbane city and learnt a lot about history and city architecture. Overall great experience and definitely good value for the money you pay. Highly recommended.
