What you need to know
- 2 hours of White Water Rafting on the Barron River
- Rafting equipment
- Guaranteed water levels all year round
- All tuition (no experience necessary)
- Hotel transfers (you will need to make your own way to the rafting departure point, 100 Lake Placid Rd, Caravonica)
- Meals
- A $30 per person Rafting Levy is not included and is payable directly to the local tour operator on the day of the activity

- Tours depart at 2pm and return at approximately 5.30pm
- Please meet at 100 Lake Placid Rd, Caravonica (Approx 25 minute drive from Cairns City and 60 minute drive from Port Douglas). Once you have received your voucher, please call the operator to confirm the tour departure time
- Your tour voucher and $30 Rafting Levy (cash or credit card accepted)
- Swimming costume
- Towel
- Money for souvenirs and snacks
- Leave all jewellery and valuables at your accommodation
- A change of clothes
- Sunscreen
- Secure footwear that you will be prepared to get wet
- Please note that some medical conditions, disabilities and impairments may exclude participants from rafting for safety reasons, e.g. pregnancy and serious vision impairments. Passengers should disclose any medical condition, disabilities and impairments at time of booking
- Every participant must sign a Liability Release Form prior to commencing rafting tours
- For safety reasons, some medical conditions, disabilities and impairments may exclude participants from rafting. Passengers should disclose any medical conditions at time of booking
- Passengers under the age of 18 years must have a parent or guardian to sign the Liability Release Form on their behalf
- Minimum age is 12yrs
- 50% cancellation fee applies within 48 hours of departure and 100% cancellation fee within 24 hours of departure
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of purchase, please print the voucher and present on day of the experience

Fun filled, exciting and adventurous. The best trip yet.
We were initially doubtful as it was raining badly for last 5 days and water is streaming with force. Our guide JOSH made it look like very easy for our group end of the day. It was a memorable day out in Barron River with Fuming Fury and we can never forget this experience. Now all set for higher grades .. Josh was marvellous.

White water rafting on the Barron river was great fun. A fun afternoon.
The white water rafting was great fun and our guide Justin was excellent. I would have preferred less stop/start as we had so many other rafts in the group and had to wait each time over each rapid. It would be better to be able to go right through.

Absolutely fabulous. My husband and I loved it. The tour instructors were so informative about what we should do as it was our first time. Would highly recommend it.
My husband and I had never done white water rafting but we were put at ease as soon as we arrived there. Tour operators were very informative about what we were to do when they gave us the instructions. It was so much fun and we both loved it. We met some lovely people on the tour and had a great laugh with them. As we were beginners doing this it was the right one for us. They let us have a swim in the water halfway through which I took advantage of. The water was 26 degrees and beautiful. Totally recommend this tour for anyone loving the water.
