Weather was unfortunately miserable (wet and windy) so it would have been handy to have perspex roll down blinds on either side. The pontoon was fairly slow but we expected that. We hired a couple of fishing rods but weren't supplied with any spare tackle and brought our own bait. Don't forget your own bucket, knife and chopping board. The cushions on the seats were good except once they go wet, you couldn't sit on them any longer. Take a cushion for the driver's seat as there wasn't one. The map provided was easy to navigate and instructions on operation were clear and simple. We didn't anchor anywhere so didn't have to worry about cleaning the anchor. My mother brought her terrier on board and the rim around the edges made me feel safe she wouldn't fall in. We will definitely take other visitors out on one again, but will be checking more thoroughly for local's deals closer to the booking date. Trinity Inlet and the trip around Admiralty Island are well worth a half day self drive pontoon boat hire.
