Amazing day out
We had an amazing day exploring Mossman Gorge, the Daintree River, and Cape Tribulation with Reece from Down Under Tours. Having a guide who has grown up & lived locally and knows the area so well made such a difference. Reece was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole day really enjoyable. The Mossman Gorge, Daintree River & Cape Tribulation tour was definitely a highlight of our trip, and we would highly recommend it to anyone considering this experience.
An amazing day out in the Daintree
We had the most amazing day out with Down Under Tours in the Daintree. We did a river cruise and were able to spot a few crocs, then went to Cape Tribulation, Alexandra Lookout and Daintree Ice Cream. The guide was awesome and super knowledgeable, what a great day out!
What you can expect

After a relaxed hotel pickup from Cairns or Port Douglas, you'll journey along one of Australia’s most scenic coastal drives before arriving at the first stop, the ancient World Heritage-listed rainforest of Mossman Gorge. Here you'll enjoy a guided walk, hear fascinating stories from your driver-guide, and sip morning tea. Next, glide along the Daintree River on a cruise, spotting wildlife like tree snakes, rare birds, and the famous estuarine crocodile.
Continue to Cape Tribulation, where the Reef meets the Rainforest in picture-perfect style. Savour a delicious lunch at Heritage Lodge, and an ice cream at the Daintree Ice Cream Company. The final stop is the Alexandra Lookout with breathtaking views over Snapper Island and the sparkling Coral Sea.
