What you can expect
Spend a full day reef fishing off Cairns, bottom bouncing the inner reefs, wrecks and islands that sit just a short distance from the coast. These tropical waters are home to a huge variety of fish, so you might find yourself chasing golden, bludger or giant trevally, cobia, fingermark, Spanish and school mackerel, nannygai or emperor as the day unfolds.
Your experienced fishing guide knows these grounds well and is on hand to help you drop a line, whether you are a seasoned angler or trying reef fishing for the very first time. All bait, tackle and quality rods and reels are provided, along with an esky packed with ice, cooled bottled water and a delicious lunch to keep you going. Setting out early from the Marlin Marina, you will have hours out on the water to soak up the scenery, work the bite and see what these famous fishing grounds have in store. Pack your sense of adventure and get ready for a full day on the reef.
