What you can expect
Climb aboard a heritage steam train this Father's Day and wind through the countryside of the Darling Downs on a relaxed return journey from Drayton to Cambooya. Departing from Drayton Station behind one of the beautifully restored steam locomotives, you will settle in for a scenic trip past open farmland to the historic township of Cambooya.
From here you can choose how to celebrate Dad. Pub lunch ticket holders step off for a reserved Father's Day meal at a much loved country inn, with a choice of hearty main and dessert, while the train continues south to Greenmount to turn before returning to collect you. Prefer to stay onboard? Ride the whole way to Greenmount and back, bring along a picnic or pick up light refreshments from the dining car as the scenery drifts past. Either way, it is a leisurely day of steam, scenery and good company. Gather the family, settle into your seats and treat Dad to a memorable day out on the rails.

- Gluten free and vegetarian options are available at the pub; please note dietary requirements when booking
- Due to the heritage carriages, some seats may not have windows; seats can be selected at booking and may be adjusted for operational or safety reasons
- Ride the Whole Way ticket holders remain onboard while the train turns; no lunch reservation or seating is provided and food is not included
