Some of the best moments on the water happen when there's no set plan, and this 30-minute self-drive jet ski hire on Magnetic Island delivers exactly that. No licence is required, and before you head out a safety briefing and practice drive are included so you feel confident from the start. From there, two square kilometres of open water is yours to explore at your own pace, with the lush hills of Magnetic Island rising behind you and the chance to spot turtles, dolphins, rays and seasonal whales along the way.
Up to four people can share a single jet ski, making this a flexible option for couples, friends or families. A GoPro hire with a 32GB SD card is included so every moment gets captured from the moment you hit the water to the moment you head back in. Whether you push the throttle or take it easy and soak up the scenery, half an hour out here is time very well spent.

- Access to a 2 km2 hire area, one of Australia's largest
- Safety briefing and practice drive before entering the hire area
- GoPro hire with 32GB SD card
- Life jacket, stinger pants, ski watch and secure storage
- Transfers.
- This experience is available seven days a week with briefings every 45 minutes from 11.30am
- Please arrive 10 minutes before your hire start time to begin safety briefing
- This experience is one hour in duration, including a safety briefing and 30 minutes of jet ski hire.

- Minimum age for passengers riding with an adult is six years (eight years recommended)
- Riders aged 16 to 17 may operate a jet ski independently but cannot carry underage passengers
- Parent or guardian must be present and booked on the tour; valid photo ID and a Visa or Mastercard are required
- Single rider maximum weight is 120kg; combined weight limit for twin share is 160kg
- All participants must be confident and competent swimmers
- Participants must have no medical conditions that affect their ability to ride and must not be pregnant
- All participants must be able to understand and follow instructions in English
- Participants must have a blood alcohol content of zero
- If a GoPro is lost or damaged during the tour, a $500 charge applies for equipment loss and lost revenue
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at time of booking
- Upon completion of the purchase, you can print the voucher and present it on the day of the experience
